13"...I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer... And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren...." 13, 15

23“But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. “Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. Chapter 8
"Why has this people slidden back, Jerusalem, in a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit,
They refuse to return. I listened and heard, but they do not speak aright. No man repented of his wickedness, saying, ‘What have I done?’ Everyone turned to his own course, as the horse rushes into the battle.
“Even the stork in the heavens knows her appointed times; and the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow
observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord." Jeremiah 8:5-7

“How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood. ... Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; so what wisdom do they have?" Jeremiah 8:8-9

"Everyone is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace.
"Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed, nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;  In the time of their punishment they shall be cast down,” says the Lord. 8:10-12

“I will surely consume them,” says the Lord. “No grapes shall be on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things I have given them shall pass away from them.” Jeremiah 8:13

21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people I am hurt. I am mourning; Astonishment has taken hold of me.
Jeremiah 8:21

"And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it, 14 “but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them,” 15 therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. 16 “I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.” Jeremiah 9:13-16

23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;  But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:23-24

Chapter 10

"But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to endure His indignation." Jeremiah 10:10

"He has made the earth by His power,
He has established the world by His wisdom,
And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.
When He utters His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens:
“And He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth."  Jeremiah 10:12-13

Chapter 11
7‘For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting, saying, “Obey My voice.” 8‘Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but everyone followed the dictates of his evil heart; therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but which they have not done.’ ” Jeremiah 11:7-8

Chapter 12
5 “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you,
Then how can you contend with horses?
And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you,
Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?" Jeremiah 12:5

Chapter 13
16 Give glory to the Lord your God before He causes darkness,
And before your feet stumble on the dark mountains,
And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death
And makes it dense darkness. Jeremiah 13:16

23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil." Jeremiah 13:23

Chapter 14
11Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for this people, for their good. 12“When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.”
13Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, the prophets say to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’ ” 14And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. 15“Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not be in this land’—‘By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!" Jeremiah 14:11-15

17“Therefore you shall say this word to them:
‘Let my eyes flow with tears night and day,
And let them not cease;
For the virgin daughter of my people
Has been broken with a mighty stroke, with a very severe blow."
